Mary Stanley is an emerging editor and fiction writer from the Illawarra in Australia. Mary writes fiction in a variety of genres and forms, however, she considers herself to predominantly be an SF and horror novelist. For some time now, she has been working toward completing her first novel, the post-apocalyptic thriller ‘In the Shadow of the Sun’. Alongside her first novel, she is working on several different projects including stage productions, screenplays, and novellas.
In May 2017, she was part of the Production Crew for the theatre show Bridge Works at the Phoenix Theatre. Bridge Works featured six short plays submitted by emerging young playwrights and provided a space for acting students to showcase their talents. In March 2018, Mary was chosen as a writer for 24-Hour Theatre which required her to write her short comedic play ‘Mystic Nights’ in a single night before it was put on stage the following day. In May 2018, Mary’s short drama ‘The Late Hours’ was chosen as part of Bridge Works.
